Eagles Auxiliary enjoys annual Christmas gathering

Alpena Ladies Eagles Auxiliary #1241 met Dec. 12 for its annual Christmas party. There were 19 members in attendance.

A delicious dinner was prepared by Dennis Oldaugh, Mike VanWagner, Dennis Dorr and Nellie. President Diane Struzik led the ladies in prayer.

Serving as mistress of ceremonies for the evening was Struzik and as hostess was Secretary Pat LaHaie. After dinner the ladies enjoyed playing the right and left game, which was won by Debbie Whitus and Mary Zawacki. Door prizes were won by Ruth Werda and Debbie VanWagner.

Struzik read poems and told stories that were enjoyed by the ladies. LaHaie presented each one in attendance with a gift and Christmas card from her. The ladies also received a table prize.

Show and tell was shared by the ladies, and each thanked their gift giver. The group enjoyed the holiday decorated cake, sang Christmas carols and socializing.

Struzik wished everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. She told the group she hopes to see all of them at the next regular meeting to be held on Jan. 9, 2018 at 7 p.m.
