Enjoy ‘Tis the Season with the Thunder Bay Arts Council Chorus. The chorus will honor the holiday season with a concert Sunday at 4:30 p.m. at First United Methodist Church.

Come to enjoy quality selections from diverse traditions, including a Nigerian carol, an American Negro spiritual, a Native American carol, selections for Hanukkah, a chorus from Handel’s Messiah, a modern setting of a 14th century Nativity plainsong, seasonal songs from England and France, and popular American favorites.

The chorus will again be joined by talented members of the community, including percussionist Dr. Avery Aten and flutist Cheryl Bates. The church will be fully decked out for the holidays, and a festive reception will follow the concert courtesy of the Thunder Bay Arts Council.

Due to the popularity of TBAC’s holiday programs, buying tickets in advance for the Dec. 3 concert is highly recommended. Advance adult tickets are two for $25 but at the door will be $15 each. As always, children and students will be admitted free of charge.

Advance discounted tickets may be obtained through the Thunder Bay Arts Council website, www.thunderbayarts.org and at Neiman’s Family Market. Admission is also available to holders of 2017-18 TBArts Passes.
