Preparing for the End of Life program planned

A program on Preparing for the End of Life will be held Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 18890 Hamilton Rd.

This program is intended to help people and their families prepare for end of life care and other concerns. There are many decisions that must be made during this period of life. These decisions will be presented and discussed by six different presenters.

The presenters include:

∫ Dylan Wallace, attorney with The Wallace Firm, will discuss legal decisions and documents involved in planning for end of life care.

∫ Andrea Hepburn, Alpena Senior Citizens Center director, will discuss programs and services offered at the center.

∫ Dr. Michele LaFave, physician director of Hospice of Michigan, will discuss services provided at Hospice and criteria for receiving them as well as decisions relative to the care of the terminally ill.

∫ Rev. Joe Muszkiewicz, pastor of All Saints Parish, will discuss the function of the church and the services it provides.

∫ Mary Supiran, social services director at TenderCare, will discuss services provided at Tendercare of Alpena, Tendercare Greenville and Tendercare Health Center Rogers City.

∫ Erin Vogelheim, clinical supervisor at MidMichigan HomeCare, will discuss services provided and criteria for receiving them.
