Rogers City Summer Youth Program presents ‘Godspell, Jr.’ Jr.’

Conceived and originally directed by John Michael Tebelak, the show features music and new lyrics by Stephen Schwartz. “Godspell” is one of the biggest off-Broadway and Broadway successes of all time.
It was the winner of the 1977 Tony Award for Best Original Score Written for the Theatre and garnered Broadway Hall of Fame composer Stephen Schwartz two Grammy Awards.
The Rogers City cast, ages 7-19, has dedicated the summer to preparing for this performance. They drew on their various theatrical skills and musical styles, including pantomime, charades, acrobatics, vaudeville, folk and rock, to create this talent showcase.

Heidemann; Producer – Heather Nordenbrock; Assistant Director – Baylee Lijewski; Choreographer – Ashley Nowicki; Lighting Consultant – Zack Wilbur; Lights – Mike Marx, Andrea Madison; Sound – Bob Starnes III, Katie Adair; Props – Mary Parsons; Set Painters – Lawrence Anderson, Riconda Lamb; Additional Assistance – Amy Schultz; Special Consultant – Richard Schultz.
Show times are Thursday through Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Rogers City Theater, located at 257 N. Third. Tickets are $12 for adults and $6 for students. Tickets may be purchased in advance at the box office or at the door.
