Gospel/contemporary sing Sunday at Alpena County Fairgrounds
The Alpena Area Ministerial Association warmly invites the community to a free Gospel and Contemporary Sing on Sunday at 7 p.m. at the Alpena County Fair Grandstand.
This event is sponsored by the AAMA as part of “Finding Hope Northeast Michigan,” an ongoing series of events to demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ for each person in the region.
The Gospel Sing provides a family-friendly “kick-off” to the Alpena County Fair. Fun activities for children will take place from 6:30 to 7 p.m., as well as free popcorn and bottled water while supplies last.
The evening includes old-time gospel music provided by “Road Kill” Jack Williams and the Pickin’ for People band, with Williams on guitar, Emerson Gerber on stand-up bass, Will Fox on guitar, Jack Kline on steel guitar, Jerry Broad on guitar and Pat McConnaughey on fiddle.
The Free Methodist Church Praise Band will provide contemporary music and is made up of lead singer, Jeff Stanifer on guitar, Rich George on fiddle and mandolin, Sean Holloway on keyboard, Tim Harper on drums, Colin Lounsberry on bass, and singer Terri Watson. Army Sgt. Cliff Prince will talk about how God gave Him courage and strength while deployed in Iraq.
