Strong showing

Courtesy Photo The Thunder Bay Junior High School and Alpena High School Bands recently performed at MSBOA Band Festival in Oscoda. Each group had to perform three pieces of music for a set of judges and were rated on tone, intonation, rhythm, technique and interpretation. Following that, they were sent to the sight-reading room where they had five minutes to study a new piece of music with their director and then perform it. This was also rated by a judge. TBJH Symphonic Band, AHS Symphony Band and the AHS Wind Ensemble all received a Superior 1st Division rating which is the highest possible.
