Deck the Halls

Two special angels

Decorations don’t have to big and colorful to have impact or meaning. For April Behl of Alpena, the little Christmas angels pictured above were always displayed in corner hutches at the home of grandparents in Warren. She recalls as a child thinking just how special they were.

“I know they aren’t much, but to me they are priceless because I remember going to their house and looking for them every time,” Behl said.

She’s thrilled to now have the heirloom angels be a part of her own Christmas decorations.

“After my grandparents died, they were one of the few things I asked for,” she said.
