40th annual Miss Rogers City Pageant

The 40th annual Miss Rogers City Pageant takes place 7 p.m. Friday at the Rogers City High School. Five girls will compete for the title and as winner, will reign over this year’s 2015 Nautical City Festival.

In addition to the traditional queen’s pageant, new this year is a Miss Teen Pageant. A total of 10 contestants have signed up to compete for that crown. Among those competing are:

Queen Contestants:

  • Salena Heidemann She is the daughter of Karl and Danielle Heidemann and is a senior at Rogers City High School. For her talent, she will do a vocal presentation to “My Favorite Things.”
  • Heather Hentkowski She is the daughter of Matthew and Laura Hentkowski and is a senior at Rogers City High School. For her talent, she will dance to “I See Fire.”
  • Brianna Kamyszek She is the daughter of Larry and Shelly Kamyszek and is a senior at Rogers City High School. For her talent, she will dance to “Stupid Boy.”
  • Jessica Reid She is the daughter of Scott and Diane Reid and is a senior at Rogers City High School. For her talent, she will do a vocal presentation to “The House That Built Me.”
  • Loren Getzmeyer She is the daughter of Mark and Karie Getzmeyer and is a senior at Rogers City High School. For her talent, she will give an instrumental presentation to “My Heart Will Go On.”

Teen Contestants:

  • Mikaela Bannon She is the daughter of Bill and Missy Bannon and is in the eighth grade at Saint Ignatius Catholic School. For her talent she will dance to “Colors of the Wind.”
  • Hannah Eldridge She is the daughter of Greg and Marie Eldridge and is in the eighth grade at Rogers City Middle School. For her talent she will do a vocal presentation to “This One’s for the Girls.”
  • Alayna Sorget She is the daughter of Dave and Brenda Sorget is in the seventh grade at Rogers City Middle School. For her talent she will give a vocal/instrumental presentation to “The Hanging Tree.”
  • Abby Muller She is the daughter of Eric and JoAnne Muller and is in the eighth grade at Rogers City Middle School. For her talent she will do an instrumental presentation to “Love Story.”
  • Cassidy Delekta She is the daughter of Tom and Chrissy Delekta and is in the eighth grade at Rogers City Middle School. For her talent she will do a dance presentation to “Chasing the Sun.”
  • Catheryn Hart She is the daughter of Pat and Kristie Hart and is in the ninth grade at Rogers City High School. For her talent she will do a dance presentation to “A Little Party.”
  • Emily Grulke She is the daughter of Steve and Jenny Grulke and is in the ninth grade at Rogers City High School. For her talent she will do a vocal presentation to “Would You Go With Me.”
  • Brooke Daniels She is the daughter of Harry Daniels and Rachel Galer and is in the ninth grade at Rogers City High School. For her talent she will do a vocal presentation to “Flashlight.”
  • Christina Andrews she is the daughter of Frank and Pauline Andrews and is in the eighth grade at Saint Ignatius Catholic School. For her talent she will give an instrument presentation of “An American Mix.”
  • Linnea Hentkowski She is the daughter of Matthew and Laura Hentkowski and is in the ninth grade at Rogers City High School. For her talent she will do a dance presentation to “Life of the Party.”

The girls will compete in talent, evening gown, coordination and judge’s interview. In addition to selecting the winners in both the queen’s pageant and the teen’s pageant, Most Photogenic and Miss Congeniality Awards will be presented.

Serving as co-directors of the event are Missy Bannon and Nicole Bannasch.

Tickets to Friday’s program are $8 in advance or $10 at the door for adults and $5 for children 10 and under. Admission is free for those 5 and under.

The tickets are available at Rogers City Chamber of Commerce, Elite Salon and Spa, and the Painted Lady. Contestants also are selling tickets.
